It's fun to take photos of just about anyone, but it's especially exciting taking photos of friends. I admit, I was a little intimidated to do this family's portraits, just because there are five kids, but it ended up being surprisingly easy. Not a single tear was shed and I think I was able to capture a bit of everyone's personality. Thanks to the mom and dad's help, of course.

I never knew throwing rocks into the river could be so entertaining. Thanks, Family "D" for sharing with me (and my lovely assistant) all your favorite rocks and for being so full of energy (yet willing to pause every once in a while for a photo). What an adorable family and what supermodels these parents are. After the baby got tired of picture-taking we got in lots of pictures of just the two of them. While editing several of them I thought how perfect these portraits would be for that piece of paper they put in new frames with a photo of some perfect looking couple. You guys made my job way too easy. And fun.
I hope the photoshoot was a lot more enjoyable for "J" than he originally thought it would be.;-)

*sigh* My first ever senior portrait shoot and I'm thinking it was a success. Oh, how easy and fun it was to shoot "M." She attributes her modeling skillz to watching lots of Top Model and I think it paid off very well.
Congrats, "M" on making it to your senior year. May you fulfill all your dreams and goals!

Yet another good looking family. My husband and I have known these guys for a few years now and grandma is my hairdresser, so it was fun working with them.
A special thanks to the grandma for being my assistant during the shoot and toting all my stuff that I left everywhere. Someday when I'm famous and successful, I'll know who to call for help.:-)

This handsome family is actually part of my family, as that guy with the big grin is one of my brothers. I was a tad nervous taking their photos, as he is a much more experienced photographer, but he was nice enough to let me borrow his fancy new lens and as a result, I have copied him and since bought myself the same one.
Hope you like the portraits and thanks again for coming to visit and for all the photography fun. As for the taking my picture after I had been romping in the mountains and hadn't bathed for 3 days (and was rather scrappy looking), well, I'm still working on the forgiveness process for that one.;-)
This family was so fun to work with. They've definitely got some natural posing talents going on. And the Converse. Gotta love those, too.

Family #5 are actually friends of mine, so it was especially fun to take their pictures. I had to feature this one as the husband in the photo came up with it and thought it was brilliant. He's ready to quit his day job and become a professional photography poser.

Another fantabulous family. It was pretty fun following these two little girls around and capturing their poses and super cute smiles. And the parents were pretty fun to hang out with, too.:-)
